Bold and earthy, this Sumatra hits that deep, almost savory note I hunt for in a strong Indonesian brew. Even as a dark roast it stays surprisingly smooth, and the body is hefty enough to stand up to a splash of milk. My morning cup finally has some backbone.

The first morning I brewed this I could smell the rich, earthy notes before I even took a sip, and the bold body lived up to the aroma. It's a deep, clean cup with that signature low-acid finish you expect from Sumatran beans. My only struggle is limiting myself to one mug.

I usually brew a lighter roast, but this Sumatran coffee has a rich, earthy depth that makes a great morning cup. It’s strong without being bitter, which I really appreciate. Only giving it 4 stars because the grounds are a bit finer than I’m used to, so I had to adjust my filter.
